About Your Favourite Aunty

Hi, I’m Aleks — the face, hands and heart behind Aunty Snalex.

I run a home bakery in Den Haag where everything is made in small batches, by hand, with that familiar aunty energy: “sit down, have something sweet and tell me all about it!”

I grew up in a family where making food for others was the main way to show appreciation, and seeing everyone gather and connect around the plates shaped my own love language. What started as a love for baking slowly turned into weekly pastry boxes, seasonal specials, and cozy treats that people share with their families, coworkers, neighbours… or just keep for themselves (oopsie!).

I care about good ingredients, warm flavours, and creating little moments of comfort in the middle of busy lives. Every box is meant to feel personal — like something someone made for you, not just something you bought.

And honestly? The pastries are only half of it.
The other half is the connection — the chats, the families celebrating with my boxes, the people who tell me their kids wait by the door on pickup day. That’s the magic that keeps me baking at midnight and tying ribbons at 5am.
