Hi, I'm Aleks — the baker, the dreamer, and the heart behind Aunty Snalex Bakery.
The name came from a friend who noticed I always showed up with snacks for her little one and mine. That pretty much sums up who I am: someone who shows love through food. Always has, always will.
That belief became a bakery. And that bakery became a mission.
Every pie bar I bake is handcrafted with intention — from the almond toffee drizzled in dark chocolate and sea salt, to the coconut beijinho inspired by a Brazilian friend who brought birthday treats to the office ten years ago and never let me forget that food carries memories. Nothing here is accidental. Everything is made to show love.
But Aunty Snalex was never just about the pastries. It's about the people. I know what it feels like to be far from home, to celebrate a birthday quietly, to long for the warmth of a table full of people who are simply glad you exist. That longing lives in every single thing I bake — and it's the reason I dream of doing so much more with this little bakery of mine.
