Welcome to Aunty Snalex! By placing an order through this website, you agree to the terms below. Everything is written simply so you always know what to expect.
1. About This Bakery
Aunty Snalex is a small home bakery based in Den Haag. All pastries are handmade in small batches and available for pickup only unless stated otherwise.
2. Ordering & Payments
- All orders are placed and paid for directly through this website.
- Your order is confirmed once payment is completed.
- I don’t reserve boxes without payment.
- Quantities are limited and sell out quickly — once a product is gone, it’s gone.
3. Delivery & Fulfillment
All Aunty Snalex pastry boxes are made to preorder.
Preorders open on Saturday and close on Tuesday (or earlier if sold out).
Once preorders close, I start preparing and baking your box specifically for you.
Baking & Shipping Schedule
- Pastries are baked and packed on Thursday
- Orders are shipped via PostNL
- Delivery takes place on Friday to the address provided at checkout
Because everything is baked fresh and shipped as food items, delivery dates cannot be changed once preorders have closed.
Delivery Responsibility
Once your order is handed over to PostNL, delivery is handled by the carrier.
I am not responsible for delays caused by PostNL, incorrect addresses, or failed delivery attempts due to customer availability.
Please make sure your delivery address is correct and that someone is available to receive the parcel on Friday.
Failed or Missed Deliveries
If a parcel cannot be delivered due to:
- an incorrect address
- absence at delivery
- refusal of the parcel
the order is considered fulfilled and cannot be refunded, as the pastries are perishable and made to preorder.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Because this is a small-batch food business, refund rules are strict:
Weekly Boxes
- You may cancel up to 48 hours before pickup for a full refund.
- Within 48 hours, ingredients and prep have already begun → no refunds.
Seasonal / Holiday Boxes
(Christmas, New Year’s, Valentine’s, Easter, etc.)
- Due to very limited spots and early preparation, all seasonal/holiday orders are non-refundable once purchased.
5. No Returns or Exchanges
Because all products are fresh and perishable, returns and exchanges are not possible.
If there’s a genuine issue with your order, please contact me within 24 hours and I’ll do my best to help.
6. Allergies & Kitchen Information
My home kitchen handles the following allergens:
gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, peanuts, soy, sesame, coconut.
Even when individual items don’t contain these ingredients, cross-contamination is always possible.
If you have a severe allergy, please be aware the kitchen is not allergy-free.
All allergen information is listed on each product page.
7. Product Quality & Storage
Every pastry is made fresh. Storage instructions are included in your confirmation email.
Once orders leave my kitchen, proper storage becomes the customer’s responsibility.
8. Changes to Your Order
I do not offer customisations or substitutions unless specifically noted.
Each weekly or seasonal box is prepared based on a fixed menu.
9. Photos & Marketing
I may use photos of my baked goods for marketing or social media.
I will never use customer photos without permission. Please note that if you tag us on social media we accept this as a permission to repost and use that content.
